Sr. Manager – Government Sales

Job Discription:

English Browne, a leading hygiene brand in India, is seeking a Sr. Manager - Government Sales to lead our government sales team and drive revenue growth through government contracts and tenders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key government clients, developing and implementing government sales strategies, and ensuring that the team meets its sales targets. This is a senior-level position that requires excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, as well as a deep understanding of the government sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the government sales team to achieve revenue targets and business goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government clients and partners
  • Develop and implement government sales strategies that align with the company's overall objectives
  • Identify and pursue government contracts and tenders that align with the company's products and services
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulations and requirements
  • Provide regular sales reports and analysis to senior management
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, operations) to ensure smooth and effective government sales operations
  • Train and coach sales staff on government sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • At least 4+ years of experience in government sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes and regulations, including experience with RFPs, RFQs, and bid submissions.
  • Ability to navigate complex government bureaucracies and build relationships with government officials and decision-makers.
  • Excellent presentation and proposal development skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to influence government officials and win business.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret government procurement data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales forecasting tools to manage government sales opportunities.
